The Grass is Greener on the Other Side

Well, not always. Going through social media can sometimes give me the feeling of, “I could take better pictures if only I was in an area that had better scenery.” The lesson I am learning is that the grass becomes greener wherever you are if you put in the work to make it grow.

For example, this place is located in my “backyard” on the central coast, a place that I would not have known to look for had it not been for the photography class I took.

Rose and her son, Alfredo, were the models for this day. Rose told me Alfredo didn’t like to smile, so I asked him to jump and spin 360°. He was so excited to have done it! Rose watched him land the spin with a smile on his face and she celebrated knowing she would finally get a picture of him smiling!
